Fish In Pecan Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Dry white wine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1 | Bay leaf | |
4 | Peppercorns | |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Fish fillets - mild and firm |
1 | Onion - sliced | |
2 | Garlic | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Pecans |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parsley |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Saffron |
Salt - to taste | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground mild red chile |
1 | Lemon - juice of |
In large skillet combine first 5 ingredients.
Simmer 10 minutes Add the fish and simmer until fish flakes. Place fish on a serving platter.
Remove the peppercorns and bay leaf from liquid, then pour liquid into blender.
Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Spoon sauce over fish. Can be garnished with lemon wedges and cilantro leaves.
