Don's Turkey Mystery Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Turkey pieces |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | White pepper - ground |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Onion - chopped |
1 | Garlic clove - minced | |
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Stewed tomatoes - sliced |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Celery - sliced |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Raisins |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Pineapple chunks |
1 cup | 237ml | Vermicelli - cooked |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Corn oil or peanut oil |
Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet. Add onions and celery and saute until onions start to turn translucent. Add turkey, raisins, tomatoes, soy sauce and vermicelli. Stir well and cover. Cook for 5 minutes then add the raisins. Cook covered for 5 more minutes and serve.
