Chicken Souvlaki Recipe - Cooking Index
Marinade | ||
1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Red wine |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Fresh garlic - minced |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Oregano - chopped |
Chicken | ||
3 | Chicken breasts | |
1 | Onion (medium) |
Combine marinade ingredients. Set aside about 1/4 cup to baste chicken while it cooks. Cut chicken into 2" chunks. Put chicken in a bowl, cover with remaining marinade, and refrigerate at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Cut onion into large chunks and skewer alternate pieces of onion and chicken.
Grill for 15-20 minutes, brushing with marinade and turning frequently.
