Chicken Paprika, Light Version Recipe - Cooking Index
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Chicken breast halves |
Without skin - cut up | ||
1/4 cup | 59ml | Oil |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - minced |
1 cup | 237ml | Mushrooms - sliced |
1 | Tomato soup - condensed | |
1/2 | Water - if needed | |
1 cup | 237ml | Sour cream - imitation |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
Lightly dust chicken with flour. saute quickly until browned. Remove from pan.
saute onions & mushrooms until lightly browned.
Blend in rest of ingredients, bring to a simmer. Add chicken, and simmer, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
