Whole Wheat Walnut Bread (4 PTS) Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground ginger |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Skim milk |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Honey |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Unsweetened instant 100% tea |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vegetable oil |
1 | Egg | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and ginger.
In
a large bowl, beat milk, honey, tea, oil, egg and vanilla until tea is
dissolved. Gradually add to dry ingredients. Transfer to a greased 9" x 5"
x
3" loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees fore 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick
inserted near the center comes out clean. Coll in pan on wire rack for 10
minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
Yield: 12-16 servings.
