Glazed Squash (3 PTS) Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Acorn squash | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Maple syrup |
Selection and storage: Look for good color. There should be an orange
blush within the dark green areas. The skin should be dull, not shiny.
Avoid those with bruises, cracks or dents. Do not refrigerate whole acorn
squash.
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Cut squash in half lengthwise, scoop out seeds.
3. Bake cut side down for 45 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and turn over. Spread with butter, drizzle with
syrup. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
5. Return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes.
