Ginger-Glazed Carrots ( 1 point) Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 440g / 15oz | Carrots - cut into 1/4-inch |
Slices (8 medium) | ||
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry white wine |
OR | ||
1/2 cup | 118ml | Apple juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Margarine |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground ginger |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Packed brown sugar |
Cook all ingredients except lemon juice and brown sugar in 10-inch skillet
over medium heat 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until liquid has
evaporated. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in lemon juice and brown
sugar.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed.
