6 | Lean ground pork | |
1 1/2 | Dry bread crumbs | |
1 | Finely chopped onion | |
1/2 | Rubbed sage | |
1/4 | Fennel seeds - crushed | |
1/4 | Ground thyme | |
1/4 | Hot sauce | |
1/8 | Salt | |
1/8 | Garlic powder | |
1/8 | Crushed (or ground) red pepper | |
1/8 | Ground cumin | |
1/8 | Pepper | |
1 | Egg white - lightly beaten (large) | |
Cooking spray |
1. Combine everything except cooking spray in large bowl; stir well.
Shape mixture into 8 links. 2. Coat large cast iron skillet with
cooking spray and place over medium heat until hot. 3. Place sausage
links in skillet and cook 10 minutes or until browned, turning
frequently. Drain links on paper towels.
(Serving size 2 links.)
Per serving: 72 cal, 9 g protein, 3 g fat (1 g sat fat), 2 g.
carb, .2 g. fiber, 22 mg cholesterol, 126 mg. sodium.

This Spicy Pork Sausage Recipe has been modified slightly from the

had to give up sausage to be heart healthy -- try this alternative and
