1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion (about 1 medium)
2 cups 474mlBeef broth
2/3 cup 157mlUncooked barley
2 teaspoons 10mlChopped fresh oregano

1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlPepper
16 oz 454gWhole tomatoes - undrained
8 oz 227gSliced water chestnuts - undrained
10 oz 284gFrozen mixed vegetables

Recipe Instructions

Heat oven to 350º. Spray 10-inch nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking

spray. Cook ground beef and onion in skillet over medium heat, stirring

occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Mix beef mixture and remaining

ingredients except frozen mixed vegetables in 3-quart casserole; break up

tomatoes. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Stir in mixed vegetables. Cover and

bake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until barley is done.
