Homemade Granola Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 237ml | Water | 
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Canola oil | 
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Pineapple juice | 
| 1 cup | 237ml | Honey | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract | 
| 3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Rolled oats | 
| 1 cup | 237ml | Wheat germ | 
| 1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Sunflower seeds | 
| 1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped walnuts | 
| 1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Chopped almonds | 
| 1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Raisins | 
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine liquids in a large pot and heat but do not boil.
Mix the oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, walnuts, and almonds in a large bowl and slowly pour the dry mix into the hot liquid. Stir with a large spoon to combine well and then pour the mixture into a large roasting pan and place in the oven. Toast the mixture for 1 hour, stirring often to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven and add the raisins. Allow to cool throughly before transferring to an airtight storage container. This will keep for 4 weeks when properly stored.
This recipe yields 9 cups.
