Harrigan's Prime Rib Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
Bovril is British; it's a beef extract that can be used in recipes such as the one above or spread on toast or used to make a "beef tea". It's absolutely delicious and if you can't find it in stores, you can buy it online.
Courses: Soup4 cups | 948ml | Water |
8 teaspoons | 40ml | Bovril |
2 cups | 474ml | Sour cream |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped prime rib roast |
Cook prime rib roast to desired doneness. Pour any dripping into saucepan. Add water and Bovril. Heat. Add sour cream and chopped prime rib roast. Heat slowly. Don't boil. Serve.
