Spicy Asian Peanut Dip Recipe - Cooking Index
This recipe is sweet and spicy, very versatile, a fine interpretation of the genre. Serve with carrot sticks or "Soy-Marinated Grilled Chicken Wings" (recipe included in this collection).

1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Peanut butter - chunky or smooth |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown or white sugar |
1 | Fresh ginger root - 1/2-inch, chopped | |
1/2 | Jalapeno chile - chopped | |
(or hot salsa or chili paste to taste) | ||
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce - to 2 tablespoons |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lemon juice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped fresh cilantro |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Asian - (toasted) sesame oil |
In a blender or food processor combine garlic, peanut butter, sugar, ginger, and chili. Blend well. Add water and soy sauce, and when well mixed add lemon juice, cilantro, and sesame oil. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. This recipe serves 4 to 6.
