Red Bean Dip Recipe - Cooking Index
5 oz | 142g | Red kidney beans - (dried) |
2 | Garlic | |
1 | Jalapeno pepper - cored and seeded | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Corn oil |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Cider vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Fresh ground pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 | Tabasco sauce |
Cover the beans with cold water and soak overnight
Drain beans; place them in a saucepan, and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer about 45 minutes or until beans are tender.
Drain and cool completely.
Mix all ingredients in blender or food processor.
