Classic Guacamole Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Ripe avocados (large) | |
1 | Garlic - mashed | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Fresh lime juice |
1 | Jalapeno - seeded and diced | |
2 | Tomatoes - seeded and chopped | |
1 | Red onion - chopped fine (small) | |
1/4 cup | 4g / 0.1oz | Fresh cilantro leaves - finely chopped |
Salt and freshly ground pepper - to taste |
Halve and pit avocados and scoop flesh into a large bowl.
Mash avocado with a fork and stir in remaining ingredients, combining well.
Chill covered with plastic wrap for at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.
Stir guacamole well and serve with tortilla chips.
Yield: about 3 cups
