2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onion |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped green pepper |
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Ground beef |
1 | Stewed tomatoes - (16 oz) | |
1 | Veg-all mixed vegetable - drained (16 oz) | |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Cornmeal |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Basil |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Pepper |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mild green chiles |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
1. Heat oil in heavy skillet. Add onion and green pepper, cook over low heat until soft.
2. Add ground beef and brown.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients, except for cheese.
4. Place in a 9" pie pan and bake at 375'F. for 30-35 minutes.
5. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.
