Looing Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 948ml | Water |
1 cup | 237ml | Light soy sauce |
1 cup | 237ml | Dark soy sauce |
1 | Star anise | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Chinese rice wine or dry sherry |
5 tablespoons | 75ml | Sugar |
4 | Fresh ginger root |
Mix all together in a stainless-steel pot and bring to a boil.
Use for "Fried Quail, Chinese Style" (recipe included in this collection) and for similar dishes.
