Garlic Flavored Chicken

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozChicken - cut into 1" pieces
3   Garlic - finely
1 tablespoon 15mlWine - (15 ml)
1 tablespoon 15mlSoy sauce - (15 ml)
2 teaspoons 10mlGarlic salt - (10 ml)
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSugar - (1 ml)
2   Eggs - lightly beaten
3 tablespoons 45mlFlour - (45 ml)
1   Five-spice powder -(optional)
4 cups 948mlVegetable oil

Recipe Instructions

1. Combine Chicken with garlic, wine, soy sauce, garlic salt and sugar; marinate for 2 hours. 2. Add beaten eggs and flour to chicken and mix well.

3. Heat oil in wok near smoke point. Reduce heat to medium. Deep- fry chicken for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.

NOTE: It doesn't say in the book, but the Garlic Chicken I had was bone-in.
