Spicy Garbanzos Recipe - Cooking Index
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Whole mustard seed |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Onion, chopped - 1 md |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
30 oz | 852g | Garbonzo beans, drained - 2cn |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Chicken broth |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Tomato paste |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cinnamon - ground |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Cloves - ground |
Cook and stir the mustard seed and onion in the vegetable oil in a 2 quart saucepan until the onion is tender. Stir in the remaining ingredients and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through, about 5 minutes. Serve
