Beef Balls Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Uncooked rice |
Filling | ||
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground steak - (sirloin) |
3 | Green onions - finely chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ginger root - finely chopped |
2 oz | 56g | Water chestnuts - finely chopped |
1 | Egg - beaten | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Shaohsing wine or sherry |
Mix the filling and form into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
Place the uncooked rice in a shallow pan or dish.
Roll the beef balls in the rice until they are covered with the rice.
Steam the beef balls for 30 minutes.
Serve with your favorite Dim Sum dipping sauce.
