White Bean Chili

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion; chopped - 1 large
1   Garlic - finely chopped
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozMargarine or butter
4 cups 250g / 8.8ozChicken; cooked - *
3 cups 711mlChicken broth
2 tablespoons 30mlCilantro; fresh - snipped
1 tablespoon 15mlBasil leaves - dried
2 teaspoons 10mlRed chiles - ground
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCloves - ground
32 oz 909gGreat northern beans - 2 cans
  Garnishes
3/4 cup 46g / 1.6ozTomato; chopped - 1 medium
  Blue or yellow corn tortilla
  Chips

Recipe Instructions

* Chicken should be cut into 1/2-inch Cubes.

Cook and stir onion and garlic in margarine in 4-quart Dutch oven until onion is tender.

Stir in remaining ingredients except chopped tomato and tortilla chips.

Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve with tomato and tortilla chips.
