Peggy's 1-2 Chili Recipe - Cooking Index
Meat Mixture | ||
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Hamburger |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground pork |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Spicy sausage |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Onion - chopped (medium) |
Sauce | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Garlic powder |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chili powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cumin |
2 | Tomatoes with juice - (1 lb. Each) | |
1 | Tomato sauce - (15 oz) | |
2 | Pinto beans - (15 oz each), drained |
In large Dutch over or saucepan, brown the hamburger, pork, sausage and onion all together. Add salt, pepper, garlic, chili powder, Tabasco sauce, cumin, tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 2 hours. Add drained pinto beans and simmer for 30 minutes longer.
