Fire Alarm Chili From College Park Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Ground beef |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Chili powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
2 | Onion - chopped | |
2 | Tomatoes - (#2 cans) | |
1 | Chili beans - (#300) | |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
4 | Worcestershire sauce |
Melt the margarine in a large skillet. Crumble and brown the beef, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Skim off excess fat. Add the Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, sugar, onions and continue cooking until onions are almost done. Chop the tomatoes and add them along with the beans.
Bring the mixture to a boil then lower heat to simmer for about 1 hour before serving.
