Chili Verde - Slow Cooker Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Tomatillos - coarsely chopped |
2 | Great northern beans - rinsed and drained | |
1 | Vegetable broth | |
1 | Onion - halved and (large) thinly sliced | |
1 | Green chiles - diced | |
6 | Garlic - chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground cumin |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
1/2 cup | 8g / 0.3oz | Fresh cilantro - chopped |
Sour cream - (optional) |
Combine all ingredients except cilantro and sour cream in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Season with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to low. Stir in cilantro and cook 10 minutes.
Serve with sour cream if desired.
