| 1 cup | 237ml | Water |
| 2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
| 2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
| 2 | Eggs - beaten | |
| 1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Sour cream |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Almond extract |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
| Frosting | ||
| 1 1/4 cups | 247g / 8.7oz | Margarine |
| 1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Milk |
| 1 1/4 cups | 116g / 4.1oz | Almond extract |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Walnuts or pecans |
| 4 1/2 cups | 891g / 31oz | Confectioners sugar |
Melt margarine and water in saucepan.
Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, extract, salt, and baking soda.
Beat until smooth.
Pour into greased 15x10" pan and bake at 375F 20-22 minutes.
Cool.
Frosting:
Heat margarine and milk, then mix in remaining ingredients.
