Vanilla Brownies Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Unsifted flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Butter - softened |
1 1/4 cups | 247g / 8.7oz | Sugar |
1 1/4 cups | 200g / 7.1oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
3 | Eggs | |
12 oz | 340g | Chocolate chips if desired |
Preheat oven to 350F.
In small bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In large bowl beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Add chips (if desired)
Spread evenly into well greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan (approximate size of pan)
Bake 350F for 35 - 40 minutes.
Cool in pan on rack. When completely cool cut into pieces.
