Pumpkin Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Shortening |
| 3/4 cup | 177ml | Pumpkin |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Maple extract |
| 4 teaspoons | 20ml | Baking powder |
| 2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | White sugar |
| 2 | Egg yolks or 1 egg | |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Sour milk |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Soda |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
| 2/3 cup | 41g / 1.4oz | Nuts - chopped, floured |
Cream sugar and shortening. Add other ingredients in order given.
Bake 1/2 hour at 350F in pan 6 1/2" x 11".
Good without frosting served warm, with apple cider.
