Plain Cake

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup	99g / 3.5oz	Butter
1 cup	198g / 7oz	Sugar
2		Eggs
1 3/4 cups	109g / 3.8oz	All-purpose flour - sifted
1/4 teaspoon	1.3ml	Salt
3 teaspoons	15ml	Baking powder
3/4 cup	177ml	Milk

Recipe Instructions

Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs and stir in.

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.

Add alternately with milk.

Bake in a 9 x 9" pan at 350F for 30-40 minutes.

Use this recipe for strawberry shortcake.
