Maple Syrup Nut Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Flour |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | White sugar |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Maple syrup |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Soft shortening |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
2 | Eggs | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Chopped nuts |
Sift dry ingredients together into bowl.
Add syrup, shortening and milk; beat 2 minutes.
Add eggs and beat 2 minutes.
Add chopped nuts and mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" pans.
Bake in 350F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost.
