| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butter or margarine |
| 2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
| 3 | Eggs | |
| 2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
| 3 | Eggs | |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Flavoring* |
| Glaze | ||
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
| 1 | Lemon, juice of |
* use your favorite extract: lemon, rum, almond, etc., use more than 1 tsp desired
Ingredients for the cake are listed in the order used (the recipe uses 6 eggs).
After each addition beat well.
Put into greased, floured tube pan and bake at 350F for 1-1/2 hours.
Glaze: Mix 1/2 cup sugar and juice of 1 lemon in pan and bring to a boil.
Spoon onto top of hot cake, and brush to spread with a pastry brush.
