Hershey's Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 3/4 cups | 109g / 3.8oz | Flour |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking soda |
3/4 cup | 82g / 2.9oz | Hershey's cocoa |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 | Eggs | |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Oil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add all other ingredients except for the boiling water.
Beat until well mixed, about 2 minutes at medium speed.
Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into greased pan (either 1, 9" x 13" or 2, 9" round).
Bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes for round pans or 35 to 40 minutes for sheet pan.
Cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove to wire rack and cool completely.
