Hershey Cake

Recipe Ingredients

10 oz 284gPlain Hershey bars
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSoda
1 cup 198g / 7ozMargarine or butter
1 cup 237mlButtermilk
2 cups 396g / 13ozSugar
1   Hershey chocolate syrup
4   Eggs
2 teaspoons 10mlVanilla
2 1/2 cups 156g / 5.5ozFlour
2 1/2 cups 365g / 12ozNuts - chopped
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt

Recipe Instructions

Melt Hershey bars in double boiler. Cream margarine and sugar. Add melted Hershey bars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Sift together flour, salt, and soda and add alternately with buttermilk. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325F for 1 1/2 hours.
