Hershey Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
10 oz | 284g | Plain Hershey bars |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Soda |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Margarine or butter |
1 cup | 237ml | Buttermilk |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
1 | Hershey chocolate syrup | |
4 | Eggs | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
2 1/2 cups | 156g / 5.5oz | Flour |
2 1/2 cups | 365g / 12oz | Nuts - chopped |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
Melt Hershey bars in double boiler. Cream margarine and sugar. Add melted Hershey bars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, salt, and soda and add alternately with buttermilk. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325F for 1 1/2 hours.
