Harvest Spice Tea Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
2 | Harvest spice tea bags | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
3 | Eggs | |
1 | Nutmeg for garnish | |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
Butter for greasing the pan | ||
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
Garnish | ||
1 1/4 cups | 78g / 2.8oz | Flour |
Harvest spice whipped cream |
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan, add the tea bags, and steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Mix the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add the tea, carefully squeezing excess liquid from tea bags before discarding the bags. Blend the batter well.
Pour into a 8x8x2-inch greased baking dish.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Serve warm, buttered and sprinkled with nutmeg. Top with dollops of Harvest Spice whipped cream.
