Gingerbread - 2 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk - sour |
1 | Egg - well beaten | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - melted |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ginger, powdered |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Soda |
Mix the butter and sugar together and add the egg. Sift the dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk. Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
Pour into a shallow, buttered baking and bake at 350-F for 30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold, plain, with whipped cream, or with Cream Filling for Gingerbread.
