1   Salt
  Water to mix
  Cake
6 oz 170gSelf raising flour
3 oz 85gBrown sugar
1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozMixed fruit
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCinnamon
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlMixed spice
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGinger
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlNutmeg
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCayenne pepper

Recipe Instructions

1. Make pastry. Mix cake ingredients to a fairly soft consistency.

2. Line a loaf tin with the pastry, add cake mixture and top with pastry.

3. Bake in oven at 325 F for 1 hour then gradually reduce heat to 300 F for 2 hours.
