Fluffy White Frosting Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cream of tartar |
1 | Salt | |
3 | Egg whites (large) | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
Combine first 5 ingredients in top of a double boiler.
Place egg white mixture over barely simmering water in bottom of double boiler on cook top.
Beat at high speed of a hand held mixer until stiff peaks form and candy thermometer registers 160F.
Add vanilla; beat until blended.
