Fluffy Gold Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Cake flour - sifted |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Shortening |
1 1/3 cups | 263g / 9.3oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
4 | Egg yolks |
Sift together dry ingredients and put in mixing bowl.
Add shortening and half the milk. Mix.
Add remaining milk, vanilla, and egg yolks. Blend well.
Pour into 2 greased and floured round layer pans and bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes.
