1 1/4 cups | 200g / 7.1oz | Packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Butter milk |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
1/3 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Cocoa |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Baking soda |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vanilla |
Powdered sugar for garnish |
Preheat oven to 350F Coat a 9" square baking dish with non stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, with mixer on medium, beat egg whites, brown sugar, and butter milk for two minutes.
Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes or until well blended. Pour into greased dish.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a pick inserted in middle comes out clean.
Cool in dish for 15 minutes on a wire rack.
Remove from dish and cool completely.
Garnish with powdered sugar and serve.
