Crumb Coffee Cake

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups	125g / 4.4oz	All-purpose flour
1/2 cup	99g / 3.5oz	Shortening
1		Egg - beaten
		Baking powder - pinch
2 cups	320g / 11oz	Brown sugar
1 cup	237ml	Sour milk
1 teaspoon	5ml	Soda

Recipe Instructions

Crumble shortening into sugar and flour.

Reserve 3/4 cup of the mixture for topping.

To the remaining dry ingredients add shortening, milk and egg.

Mix well and place in deep, 8" square baking dish.

Cover with the 3/4 cup reserved crumbs.

Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or until done.
