2 | Unsweetened chocolate - melted | |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Vegetable oil |
1 1/4 cups | 78g / 2.8oz | All-purpose flour |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Granulated sugar |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
1 | Egg | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes.
In separate bowl cream together cream cheese and sugar; beat in egg, mixing well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Line a muffin pan with cupcake papers. Fill 2/3 full with chocolate cake batter. Add 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture to center and top with more cake mix.
Bake according to directions for cupcakes. Cool and frost with chocolate or cream cheese frosting.
