Chocolate Surprise Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
12 oz | 340g | Cream cheese - softened |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |

1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
1 | Chocolate cake mix - (18.25 oz pkg) | |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Semisweet chocolate mini-morsels |
Heat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan.
In a small mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat until blended and set aside.
Prepare cake mix as directed; fold in chocolate morsels. Pour chocolate batter into prepared pan; evenly cover with cream cheese mixture.
Bake until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 25 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool completely. Dust with confectioners sugar.
Serve with whipped cream and raspberries, if desired.
