Chocolate Oatrage Snack Cake

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup	198g / 7oz	Butter or margarine - soft
1 1/2 cups	355ml	Oatmeal - quick -or-
		Old fashioned - uncooked
1/2 cup	31g / 1.1oz	All-purpose flour
1 cup	160g / 5.6oz	Brown sugar - firmly packed
2		Eggs
1 cup	146g / 5.1oz	Walnuts - chopped
1 teaspoon	5ml	Vanilla
12 oz	340g	Semi-sweet chocolate chips - divided

Recipe Instructions

In large mixer bowl, mix butter, oats, flour, brown sugar, eggs, walnuts and vanilla.

Beat 3 minutes at medium speed or until mixture is light and fluffy.

Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.

Spread batter into 8" square microwave-safe baking dish; cover with wax paper.

Cook on HIGH power 4 minutes; rotate dish 1/4 turn.

Cook on HIGH power 4-5 minutes longer or until top of cake appears dry and bottom is an even color.

Sprinkle remaining 1 cup chocolate chips over top of warm cake.

Let stand 10 minutes, then spread chocolate evenly over cake.

Cool directly on counter top. Cut into serving pieces.
