2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Margarine |
1 cup | 237ml | Vegetable oil |
1 cup | 237ml | Cola |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Cocoa |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Buttermilk |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
2 | Eggs | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Marshmallows - miniature |
Icing | ||
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Margarine |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Cocoa |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Cola |
16 oz | 454g | Powdered sugar |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Pecans - chopped - optional |
Mix flour and sugar; set aside.
In a sauce pan, mix margarine, vegetable oil, cola, and cocoa. Bring mixture to a boil.
Pour immediately over flour mixture. Add remaining cake ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased pan.
Bake at 325F for 40 minutes. When cake is almost done begin making icing.
Bring margarine, cocoa and cola to a boil.
Beat in powdered sugar.
Spread icing on cake while warm.
Allow to cool before cutting into large squares.
