Chocolate Chip Blond Brownies Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Nuts - chopped |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Butter or margarine |
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Packed brown sugar |
2 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 | Semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add nuts; mix well and set aside.
Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat. (If margarine is used, add 2 tablespoons hot water.)
Add brown sugar; beat well. Let cool. Add eggs and vanilla; Blend well.
Add flour mixture, a small amount at a time, mixing well after each addition. Spread in greased 9x12-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not over-bake.
Cool in pan and cut in squares.
