Chocolate Carrot Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 cups | 165g / 5.8oz | Carrot |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Granulated sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Canola oil |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
Pre-heat oven to 350F.
In a large bowl, combine carrots, sugar and oil.
Pour water over the mixture.
In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients.
Add to the carrot mixture and mix well.
Pour into a non-stick or lightly oiled 8-inch square pan.
Bake for 35 minutes.
