Carob Cinnamon Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Honey |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Unrefined vegetable oil |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Eggs (medium) |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk or water |
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Whole wheat flour |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Non-alum baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sea salt - (optional) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Ground cinnamon |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Carob powder |
Preheat oven to 350F.
Measure honey into large mixing bowl, add vegetable oil and mix. Add eggs and blend with a spoon. Mix in vanilla and add milk or water well. Mix all dry ingredients to liquids, stirring constantly.
Grease and flour bundt pan or 13" x 9" cake pan. Pour batter into pan and top with 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes.
