Cake Brownies

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
1/2 cup 118mlOil
1 cup 237mlWater
4 tablespoons 60mlUnsweetened cocoa
2 cups 125g / 4.4ozFlour
2 cups 396g / 13ozSugar
2   Eggs
1 teaspoon 5mlBaking soda
1/2 cup 118mlButtermilk
1 teaspoon 5mlVanilla
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
3 tablespoons 45mlUnsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup 78mlButtermilk
1   Confectioners sugar
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozWalnuts - chopped
1 teaspoon 5mlVanilla

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 baking pan.

Mix butter, oil, water and cocoa together in small sauce pan. Bring to boil. Add this mixture to flour and sugar and beat until smooth.

Add eggs, baking soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into prepared baking pan.

Bake 20 minutes.

Prepare frosting while brownies are baking. Put all frosting ingredients in medium saucepan and heat. Do not boil.

Frost immediately after removing from oven. Cut into squares when cool.
