Brown Sugar Pound Cake Recipe - Cooking Index

1 | And H golden brown sugar - firmly packed | |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butter |
4 | Eggs | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 3/4 cups | 109g / 3.8oz | All-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
Beat together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt and stir into creamed mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in 350F oven one hour or until cake tests done.
Remove from pan and cool on rack.
