Beer Poppyseed Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Layer size yellow cake mix | |
1 | Instant vanilla pudding | |
4 | Eggs | |
1 cup | 237ml | Beer |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Oil |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Poppy seeds |
Glaze | ||
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Beer |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter |
Place all ingredients in an electric mixer. Blend on low speed. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Turn into a well-greased and floured 10 inch bundt or tube pan.
Bake at 350F for 50 to 55 minutes. or until done. Cool in pan 15 minutes. T
urn out on rack. For glaze, boil ingredients for 5 minutes.
Prick warm cake with cake tester in many places. Brush warm glaze generously over top and sides.
Cool, sift icing sugar over top.
