Banana Cake - 2 Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/2 cups | 495g / 17oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Shortening |
4 | Eggs | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking soda |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sour cream |
2 cups | 474ml | Bananas - mashed |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Sifted flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs that are already beaten lightly, dissolve soda in sour cream and beat all together well. Add flour, bananas, salt and vanilla and beat again.
Bake in a well buttered pan.(use bakers secret) bake in a 13x9x2 pan at 350F 1 hour and 10 minutes. Check sometimes done in 50-55 minutes.
Notes: use creamy cheese frosting
