Aunt Franny's Cheesecake Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 594g / 20oz | Cream cheese |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Granulated sugar |
5 | Eggs | |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Sour cream |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Vanilla |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Graham cracker crumbs |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Margarine |
CRUST: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 3 tbs sugar, 1/4 cup margarine. Mix and pour in 13x9x2 pan.
FILLING: Cream cheese, add eggs, one at a time; mix thoroughly. Add 1 cup sugar and 1 1/2 tbs vanilla. Pour over graham cracker crust. Bake at 300F for one hour. Cool for 5 minutes.
TOPPING: Mix 1 1/2 pts. sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla together. Pour over baked cheesecake. Bake an additional 5 minutes in oven, set overnight.
Serve cherry pie filling as topping on the side. Cherries might be too rich for some people so this enables anyone who wants them to add them individually.
